"I've Been Working on the Railroad"

Norfolk and Southern has been working on their line between Liberty and Greensboro, North Carolina, replacing old wooden ties. They've been stacking them along the track near Pleasant Garden and they have created a mountain of sorts.

Executive Portraits in Greensboro and Beyond

Bear with me as I make an unabashed pitch for work in these really tight economic times. Besides my other advertising and editorial work, I do executive portraits and head shots for use in magazine articles, websites, social networking, and for general PR. The image above was an environmental portrait of an executive who is also a water polo player. The one below is an image of a management team for a print article on teamwork. Others are for various website and collateral usage.

I also do traditional and lifestyle portraiture. If you need a headshot or a portrait, studio or location, please give me a call or drop me an email. For that matter, keep me in mind for any of your commercial advertising or editorial photography needs. OK, that's it, that's my pitch. Now I'll go back to just posting photographs. Thank You.

Ad Campaign

I make my living doing commercial and editorial work, and I recently worked with a local ad agency on an ad campaign for a municipal development agency promoting the fact that they are capable of putting together shovel-ready projects. If I can help on your next ad or campaign, please give me a call.

Bird Hunting

Saturday I tagged along with Cory Routh, his dad Larry and neighbor Austin Capps for a few hours of upland bird hunting at Blue Horizon Quail Preserve near Randleman, North Carolina. Ricky Nixon along with guide Chad Robbins manages about 200 acres of land set up and maintained for good quail hunting. It brought back memories of my Grandpa King, who absolutely loved to hunt birds. While shooting is a big part of the equation, it is most fascinating to watch a really good dog work. Ricky's English pointer Banjo is a master hunter and is the star of the show. He finds the birds, he points, and he retrieves every time. Ricky's wife also fixed one of the best stews I've had lately for lunch. For info on Blue Horizon, go to www.BlueHorizonQuailPreserve.com.
