Behind the Plow, 2012

Every year in the late spring a small group of folks gets together on some bottom land along the Yadkin River in Caldwell County, North Carolina, and continue to carry on an old traditional farming practice, plowing ground with horses and mules. This was the third year I've attended. There were a dozen or more teams this year and a group of onlookere were treated to a glimpse of the past. Even my wife got into the act. She was given an opportunity to hold the lines on a pair of large draft horses and made a round on a riding plow.
